Here’s what’s happening around Hunterdon County his Halloween season:

The Red Mill Haunted Village
Where: Red Mill Museum Village, Inc. 56 Main Street, Clinton, NJ 08809
When: The 26th annual Haunted Village will take place at the historic Red Mill Museum Village in Clinton, New Jersey. Performances are scheduled for 6 nights: October 14, 15, 21, 22, and 28, 29. As there are special outdoor lighting effects, it is critical the show not begin until after dark, approximately 7pm.
What: Each year the Red Mill Museum Village hosts the terrifying Haunted Village attraction. Filled with scares and thrills it’s definitely a not to be missed event!

Scare Farm
Where: 116 South Branch Rd.Hillsborough, NJ 08844
When: September 25th– November 1st
What: Scare Farm, in nearby Hillsborough, has three haunted attractions and a not so scary corn maze to ensure Halloween fun for the whole family.

Pumpkin Picking and Frightfest
Where: Schaefer Farms 1051 County Route 523, Flemington NJ 08822
When: Pumpkin Picking weekends and holidays from late September to late October during the day and frightfest at night.
What: Bring your family on a scenic hayride to our 40+ acres of home grown pumpkins, FREE with the purchase of a pumpkin. Then at night Ride, Walk and then Run For Your LIFE at Hunterdon County, New Jersey’s Original & Most Sought After Halloween Attractions!

The aMAZing Pumpkin Carve

What: Imagine a 150-pound pumpkin carved to look like Edgar Allen Poe. Or turned into a skeleton clawing its way out of a bowl. Now imagine fifty of these aMAZing pumpkins displayed at the Howell Farm Corn Maze. The Hopewell Valley Arts Council is expanding this popular walk-through exhibition to two weekends this year. zombie walk

Lambertville & New Hope Zombie Walk, presented by the Delaware River Towns Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau

Where: Beginning on the former site of River Horse Brewery in Lambertville and concluding at Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope
When: Saturday October 22, 2016, Arrive at 5pm.
What: Zombies have invade the Delaware River Towns and will cross the bridge to terrorize two states! Once the zombies reach the Bucks County Playhouse, the Michael Jackson Thriller dance party will begin and the cast of the Rocky Horror Picture Show will award prizes to the best costumes. Cost to participate is a $10 donation per family.

Zombie Crawl and Borough Parade
Where: Frenchtown, NJ
When: Oct 22, 2016 from 1pm-6pm
What: Registration and Zombie Makeup ($5) will take place between 1pm and 3:30pm. The ZombieCrawl and Zombie Scavenger Hunt is happening between 3:30pm and 5pm.  Zombies will shamble/ shuffle and crawl through town and uncover clues as to which businesses will have a brain in their window. The zombies will locate the brains and take a zombie selfie with each stores brains and when they return to the registration tent in Sunbeam park, they show all the collected brain selfies and will then be entered into the raffle. The cost to participate is $5.

Haunted Playground & Field of Screams
When: October 22, 2016 2pm to 6pm
Where: Field of Dreams Playground, 314 Old Allerton Rd, Annandale, NJ 08801
What: Walk the transformed Field of Dreams for a hauntingly good time! Choose the Friendly Path, tour the Pumpkin Patch and have a less scary and fun time with the entire family. Outside the haunted area there will be music & entertainment by Dr. D! We also have face painting, pumpkin decorating, games and surprises for all who attend this Spooktacular event! Enter the costume parade at 4:30PM

Pumpkin Weekend
Where: Old York Cellars, 80 Old York Road, Ringoes, NJ
When: October 22nd & 23rd, 2016 12 – 5pm
What: The vineyard will offer pumpkin flavored food pairings with their wines, local pumpkin cheesecake, and pumpkin pecan butter. Visitors are encouraged to come in costume for a photo they will take and make into a custom wine label. Information: (908) 284-9463.

Annual Pumpkin Carving and Kid’s Contest
Where: Inn of the Hawke, Lambertville, NJ
When: October 22, 2016 5PM
What: Fun for the whole family. They’ll provide the pumpkin and crown a winner carving winner.

12th Annual Pet Masquerade 
When: 11:30AM – 2:30PM. Rain date of Sunday 10/23.
Where: Parade begins 12:30pm at Mary Sheridan Park on York.

On Halloween night, oWowCow Ice Cream will be setting up a tent outside and giving out free mini ice cream cones to trick-or-treaters. There may be other surprises, as well!

Lambertville Halloween: Trick or Treating on North Union Street
Where: North Union Street, Lambertville, NJ
When: October 31, 2016
North Union Street from York to Buttonwood Street will be closed to allow for trick or treating from 5:30 – 9 pm. Property owners are asked to move their cars prior to 5:30 pm. See spectacular Halloween home displays and trick or treat among the community. In past years, the local musical group, Spare Parts, offered a surprise performance.
